‘Obey husband’ - Go home, woman told

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 1: The Appeals Court upheld a ruling by a lower court that ordered a Kuwaiti woman to return to her matrimonial home, after leaving the husband without any legal backing or justification. The court asked the woman to be submissive to the husband.

Case files indicate that the woman left her matrimonial home on 30/08/2010 without having any conflict or problems with the husband. Representing the spouse, lawyer Faisal Al-Otaibi said the wife ignored all entreaties by the husband to return home, which he said is lack of respect to the bond of love between them.

Motorist caught drunk: Security operatives apprehended a motorist on Fahaheel Expressway for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Apparently, the culprit was asked to pull over when securitymen noticed erratic manner by which he was driving. The officers discovered he was heavily intoxicated as they questioned him. He has since been referred to the relevant authority prosecution.

Youth stabbed in fight:
A 20-year-old GCC youth was stabbed and injured in the hand by another youth, as they engaged in a fierce fight inside a school in Jahra area. The injured person was taken to Jahra Hospital for medical care.

‘I will not come back’:
A Kuwaiti citizen reported that his maid left home and refused to come back. A case was registered in Sabah Al-Salem police station.

2 held with illegal weapon:
Two people were arrested by patrolmen on Abdalli Motorway in possession of an unlicensed weapon. They were referred to the concerned authority.
