Police arrest over 100 expatriates for violating residence laws Sixty shops in violation of safety, security regulations
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 30: The Interior Ministry, the Kuwait Municipality in cooperation with the Kuwait Fire Service Directorate recently launched a campaign in Dajeej following complaints from unidentified sources concerning security and safety breaches and violation of labor laws, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The campaign was launched upon instructions and directives of the Deputy Director-General for Prevention Affairs, Brigadier-General Ameen Abideen and Supervisor of Inspection, Colonel Khalid Al-Ajmi, the Kuwait Fire Services Directorate.
It has been reported during the campaign 60 warnings have been issued against shops for violating safety and security regulations.
The campaign also resulted in the arrest of 125 persons for violating residence laws.
The Kuwait Municipality is also said to have recorded a large number of violations and warned the owners of the shops for committing violations.
The daily added investigations are underway because many shops are said to have got their licenses illegally.
Meanwhile the Kuwait Fire Services Directorate has called on all traders and owners of complexes to abide by the safety and security conditions.
