Police imposters kidnap, rape Asian woman in Jahra desert
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 29: Police are looking for four men, who allegedly impersonated security officers, kidnapped and raped an Asian woman in Jahra, reports Al-Rai daily.
Security sources revealed the woman’s husband filed the complaint, because she was still in hysteria when the investigation officers approached her. The husband told police the suspects took his wife to a deserted area in Jahra where they took turns in raping her.
The officers have started investigations to arrest the suspects; however, they discovered the vehicle used in abducting the woman was reported stolen some days ago.
No plan to run: A Kuwaiti man wanted by law for his involvement in more than 20 cases ranging from criminal to civil offenses was arrested in Farwaniya, reports Al-Anba daily. Police also discovered that he was sentenced to six years imprisonment in a drug case.
Sources say the man sped up when police officers asked him to show his ID card. He then left his vehicle and tried to hide inside a building, but was caught and arrested.
Ballot boxes stolen: The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor has filed a theft case at the Rabiya Police Station accusing unidentified persons of stealing ballot boxes, reports Al-Seyassah Daily.
The daily added unidentified individuals broke into the Omariya and Rabiya Cooperative Societies and stole the ballot boxes after the citizens had had cast their votes to elect new board members.
The sources said the theft was discovered after the names of the winners were announced.
Meanwhile, the Al-Shahed daily said a fight broke out between two opposing blocs during election for board members at the Omariya Coop Society.
The daily added two youths were injured. According to reports the youths were protesting fraud at the election.
The injured youths were taken to the Farwaniya Hospital for treatment and others to the Rabiya Police station.
