Kuwaiti caught cheating people Empty promises

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 29: The Salmiya police have arrested a Kuwaiti man for swindling people to the tune of KD 19,000, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the man opened a trading and contracting company and lured the victims to invest in his business promising those who invested, huge returns within six months.
The daily added for the first two months the suspect paid the investors 120 percent profits and after that delayed paying under some or the other pretext.
The suspect was arrested when three victims filed a complaint against him and submitted promissory notes signed by the swindler as evidence.
The man was arrested inside his office and referred to the authorities.
Meanwhile, securitymen at the Central Jail arrested a woman who tried to smuggle a mobile phone into the jail for her husband, says Al-Seyassah.
Sources say securitymen suspected the woman and checked her using specialized equipment which showed the phone hidden in a sensitive part of her body.
