6-month-limit - Wife outside the country

My wife is outside Kuwait since June 4, 2011. For some reasons, she will not be able to return before expiry of the six months limit on staying out of the country, and hence the residence permit will be cancelled automatically. Please let me know the procedure for applying for the exemption certificate as I do not want her residence to be cancelled since her nationality is Pakistani.

Answer
: It all depends on the reason she is out of Kuwait. If it is due to children studying in Pakistan or because she is sick then you must adopt the following procedures:

1. Get a certificate from your children’s school indicating they are studying  at the institution or if she is sick then a certificate from a government hospital indicating the problem and the fact that she can’t travel.
2. Get these certificates attested by the Pakistan Foreign Ministry.
3. Get a translation of this certificate and get it attested by your embassy in Kuwait and also the Kuwait Foreign Ministry, located opposite the Kuwait Club.
4. Attach this certificate to an application and approach the Immigration Dept in your area.
5. The Immigration Dept has the authority to relax the 6-month limit period for the entire length of her residence or for the length of the time she can’t travel, as mentioned on the certificate.

medical reasonSrivi | 9/29/2011 1:08:04 PM Wife outside kuwait, for some reason is not acceptable reason for approval of exemption. There is no mention about school or college studying child in the topic, only wife is the reason. Other than medical reason, you cannot get exemption. The medical certificate should be attested by foreign affairs ministry in pakistan, then kuwait embassy in pakistan, then foreign affairs in kuwait, then area jawazat manager approval. now visa ban for pakistan nationals. If manager approves, he will issue a letter for 6 months exemption. While entering in airport, immigration in kuwait, your wife has to submit that letter in kuwait airport. thats all. try ur luck.
You should tryijaz | 9/28/2011 4:04:51 PM if there is no any possibility for her to come back within 6 month. I think you should try. It will not cost you so much, only around 10KD and the procedure will take one to two days only. I did it for my wife few years back and it was approved. I am Pakistani as well. good luck
not possibleSrivi | 9/28/2011 1:07:45 PM chances are less, due to visa ban for pakistan nationals. Any type of transactions, jawazat managers are, not interested to approve, visa ban nationalities, due to unwanted enquiries from higher authorities, politicians, etc, while visa ban is going on, how you approved this visa ? other than medical reasons, highly impossible. also visa ban is applicable. after completing all the above attestations, at last waste of money, time, there is no guarantee that the jawazat manager will approve above exemption. better avoid spending money. wait till visa ban lifted, arrange new visa and come inside. waste of money
