Two women among 6 Indians nabbed running liquor factory

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 25: Acting on information and armed with a search and arrest warrant, police raided a house in Bayan and arrested six Indians, including two women for manufacturing alcohol, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
A security source said the arrest came following a complaint filed by the bootlegger’s Kuwaiti neighbor after he got the smell of alcohol.
The daily added the Indian claimed he was a consul. Police are said to have confiscated 98 barrels of raw material (brew), some bottles of booze ready for sale and the booze manufacturing equipment.

Buggy-rider killed: An 11-year-old Kuwaiti fell from a buggy and died, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The daily said the death was instantaneous.
The mishap happened when the victim’s family was spending time at a chalet in Al-Nuwaiseeb. The remains of the victim have been referred to Forensics.

Girl held shoplifting: A 17-year-old unidentified girl has been arrested for shoplifting cosmetics worth KD 70 from a commercial complex, reports Al-Rai daily.
The suspect was arrested by the guards of the shop. After she was taken to the Salmiya Police Station, the mother signed a pledge on behalf of her daughter following which the owner of the shop withdrew his complaint.

Newborn baby dumped
: Police are looking for an unidentified woman for ‘dumping’ her newborn baby girl in an open area in Jabriya, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A passerby saw the baby wrapped in cloth and soon informed the authorities. The baby has been referred to the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital.

Missing with 5 cars
: Police are looking for an unidentified Kuwaiti man who is said to have hired five cars from a car renting office and disappeared, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the man told the office he has a contract to transport teachers from their homes to their schools and back. However, when the office checked on the man’s office address they found nothing.
To the contrary it has been reported the fraudster was recently released from jail after serving time for an unidentified offence.
When the office manager tried to reach the man, he discovered the man has switched off his cell phone.

Generator stolen: Police are looking for unidentified burglars for stealing an electricity generator worth KD 12,000 belong to an oil company, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
The same police are looking for another thief for stealing electrical cables worth KD 3,000 from the Abdali farm belonging to a Kuwaiti man.
