8 bottles of liquor seized from youths going to party Kuwaiti held for swindling man
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 24: Hawally securitymen arrested two youths with eight bottles of locally brewed alcohol in their possession.
While patrolling in Salmiya, the officers noticed the suspicious behavior of the two youths, who were on their way to a party in the area. When the officers approached them for routine inspection, the youths looked agitated, raising suspicions that they were involved in an illegal act. The officers then searched the vehicle thoroughly, leading to the discovery of eight bottles of local alcohol.
A case was registered against the two youths, who were referred to the relevant security department for the necessary legal action.
Kuwaiti caught: Hawally patrolmen arrested a Kuwaiti, in his 20s, for swindling an unidentified person to the tune of KD13,000.
It has been reported the officers asked the Kuwaiti to stop at a checkpoint in Salmiya for routine inspection. When they checked his security records, the officers found out he is wanted by law for his involvement in a swindling case. He was referred to the concerned security department for prosecution.
Wheels, parts stolen: A Kuwaiti man, believed to be in his 30s, filed a complaint at Maidan Hawally Police Station, saying wheels and other valuable parts of his pickup truck were stolen. The complainant said the stolen things were worth KD 400 and added that he had parked the vehicle in front of his house. The Kuwaiti said he was shocked when he came out of the house and found his vehicle balanced on stones. Investigations are going on.
Grocery on fire: An electric short circuit triggered fire in a grocery shop in Hawalli area on Friday. Acting on information, firefighters rushed to the scene and extinguished the fire before it could spread to adjacent shops. Nobody was injured in the mishap.
