Bahrain foils Iranian plans

BAHRAIN has again succeeded in foiling Iran’s destabilization plan through the parliamentary election. The campaigns, which were launched by the Iranian media and its ‘trumpets’ in other satellite channels in Iraq, Lebanon and Britain to discredit the democratic initiatives that Bahraini King Hamad Bin Essa Al-Khalifa has taken over the last years, were in vain.

The recent election in Bahrain was different from those in previous years, because it exposed the identities of those who have been trying to control the Bahrainis’ decision in the past months. They have embarked on noisemaking, demonstrations, barricading of roads and attacks against some people in their bid to implement the Iranian destructive plan in the region. Although they used legitimate and illegitimate means, and Iran spent a lot of money on media campaigns in cooperation with some Bahrainis, who hold the citizenship of Britain and other countries, their efforts proved futile.
Bahrain has overcome a difficult period in its history through a stronger link between its citizens and their legitimate leader, in addition to the unprecedented election. At the same time, millions of Iranians have started their own ‘spring’ that will lead to the end of the regime. The Iranian government will end up like Muammar Gaddafi and his tyrant associates due to the oppression, tension and deliberate elimination of a large part of the Iranian society over the last few decades.

The Bahraini electorate went to polling centers Saturday with a strong determination to thwart the attempt by some ‘destroyers’, who want to turn things upside down in a childish display at the commercial centers. However, the discordant voices of threat and intimidation in the last two months have not been enough to discourage the citizens from performing their civic duties and moving forward to build a modern nation.
King Hamad Bin Essa Al-Khalifa has been working assiduously to implement political and developmental reforms, and he has even surpassed the demands some parties have used as slogans for falsehood. These parties remain proud of their sinful acts as they continue to present absurd demands. One asked for an Islamic republic, while another threatened to seek the assistance of the Iranian Military, in a previous roundtable dialogue.

They also used destabilizing sermons to cause disunity among citizens of the country, but even this has not stopped the government from going on with its reform activities and determination to reach out to the people. This is a clear manifestation that the citizens remain firm in their decision to stand by their wise leader, Prince Khalifa Bin Salman, when he visited a region suffering from breakdown of law and order, because the troublemakers have worked against their own country to satisfy another.

Without a doubt, the election was an expression of real democracy because it affirmed, in concrete terms, that the majority should play a vital role in decision-making. It was a means to ignore the misdeeds of the minority who chose political rascality as their way of doing things. Through the election, the Bahrainis showed their sophistication to the entire world, as well as a display of patriotic values. They have reiterated their determination to create a significant stage in the nation’s history through their active participation in the completion of the democratic structure in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
