Police imposters snatch KD 3,000 from Asian expatriate
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 19: Two men impersonating police officers intercepted an Asian expatriate in Shuwaikh area, using fake IDs and took KD 3,000 by force. The suspects are said to have fled the scene after the crime.
In the meantime, the victim gave the description of the suspects to police for investigation. A case was registered.
‘Quit pestering’: A girl filed a case against a Kuwaiti youth who pestered her with daily SMS.
The girl had reportedly warned the youth to stop pestering her, and she went ahead to file a case when he declined her warning. The youth will be called for questioning.
Drug addicts held: Patrol officers from Farwaniya apprehended three Kuwaitis for doing drugs inside a car.
Sources said the officers were on routine duty when they came across a car, with three men inside it. The officers approached them for questioning and discovered they weren’t in normal condition.
Meanwhile, drug and related tools were found after a search the officers conducted inside the car, and the citizens were taken to the concerned authority for probe.
Expats beat youth: Four expatriates are said to have beaten and severely injured a youth in Sulaibiya area.
Security sources said the youth called the Operations Room to report the incident and provided security operatives with registration number of the suspects’ vehicle. He also said the suspects are unknown to him. A case has since been registered for investigation to trace them.
