Kuwaiti held for stealing from cars, grabbing teenagers cells
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 17: Police arrested a Kuwaiti man for stealing from parked cars and snatching expensive cell phones from teenagers, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Sulaibiya securitymen doubled their efforts after receiving complaints about the theft of their valuables from cars parked in front of grocery shops, pharmacies and commercial complexes and about a thief snatching costly cell phones from teenagers.
Police laid a trap and succeeded in arresting the thief and found out that he was wanted by law for several crimes, including breaking into shops, driving away with a car and escaping from hospital.
Drunkard in car chase: Police arr-ested a Bedoun for driving under the influence of alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily. The youth stopped at a check point on Ghazali road and police officers asked him to pull over on smelling alcohol in his breath. The youth then sped up, forcing police to chase him for 45 minutes before he could be cornered and referred to police station.
Vandals on loose: Police are looking for some unscrupulous youngsters who allegedly dropped a large number of nails along the Fifth Ring Road towards Salmiya, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. Tires of five vehicles burst due to the nails and vehicular movement was blocked for several hours on the road.
Gang-fighters caught: Police arrested six youngsters for fighting in a restaurant in a commercial complex in Salmiya and referred them to police station for questioning, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
