Ill-treated wife threatens to jump from rooftop with 5 kids

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 16: Securitymen arrested an Iranian woman wanted by law for not paying KD 8,000, six Asians for overstaying and some other expatriates in possession of drugs during a security campaign launched in Hawalli and Salmiya areas. All of them were referred to authorities for further action.

Maid steals KD 1,000: A Kuwaiti woman filed a complaint at Rawda Police Station, accusing her housemaid of stealing KD 1,000 from her safe. The complainant, believed to be in her 30s, said she discovered the theft after she returned home. She said she confronted the housemaid on the issue, but the latter denied any involvement.
Securitymen summoned the maid for interrogation.

Woman threatens suicide: A Kuwaiti woman who threatened to end her life along with her five children finally gave up the idea when police intervened and persuaded her to rescind the decision, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to a security source a Kuwaiti man called the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry for help when his wife took her five children and went to the roof of her house and threatened to jump to her death with the children.
Acting on information police and firemen from the Capital Security Department rushed to the spot and convinced the woman to give up her idea.
The woman claimed her husband always beat her and humiliated her in front of her family and children. She said she did not wish to live and preferred to end her life.
The source added after 45 minutes of negotiations the securitymen were able to calm down and persuade the woman to give up the idea. She has been taken to the area police station for interrogation.

Remains sent to Forensics: The remains of a 35-year-old woman have been referred to Forensics to identify the cause of death, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to security sources the woman was found in coma near the Abu Halifa Police Station. She was rushed to a hospital by paramedics but she was declared dead upon arrival.

Police hunt 2 thieves: Police are looking for unidentified persons for committing two thefts in Mahboula, reports Al-Anba daily.
The first theft was reported by a Pakistani man who said while walking along a road two men stopped him and said they were police.
The men said they had information that he was trafficking in drugs and began bodily searching him. He added they took his wallet containing KD 80 and escaped.
The second complaint has been filed by an Afghan man. He added two men approached him near a construction site and asked him to show his ID. As he put out his wallet the men grabbed it from his hands, took the money (KD 850), threw the wallet on the ground and escaped.
Police believe both the thefts are committed by the same men.

20 drug pills seized: The Ahmadi police have arrested an unidentified Arab for trafficking in drugs, and seized from him 20 drug pills, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily added the man was arrested in Mahboula.
According to a security source, a police patrol suspected the motorist while driving along a road in Mahboula because he looked abnormal.
When an officer walked to the man and ordered him to show his ID, he felt the man was under the influence of drugs.
Then the officer searched the man and found the pills in his pocket. He has been referred to the concerned authority.
