Employer doesnt pay annual leave salary

Just want a clear view of the Labour Law for Annual Leave because our employer doesn’t want us to go on vacations and if he approves  any request he doesn’t pay our annual leave salary nor for the public holidays. What does the labor code say on this issue? Does everything depend on the company?

Name withheld

Answer:
No, it doesn’t depend on the companies. According to the Labour Law, every employee is entitled to 30 days paid leave every year and this money must be paid before an employee proceeds on leave. You must be also given the public holidays. In case your company is not following this law, you can report the matter to the Labour office in your area.
