‘Maid who conceived out of wedlock not deported’ Cross-check before accusing, MP cautioned
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 13: The Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry has clarified that the housemaid who conceived out of wedlock has not been deported and is undergoing treatment at the Maternity Hospital. The ministry, in a press release, was responding to reports which said a Kuwaiti man raped and impregnated the woman and that a lawmaker mediated to secure the suspect’s release.
The ministry added that the woman is still in the hospital and that her passport and other official documents are with the Criminal Investigations Department which referred the whole case to the Public Prosecution.

The ministry affirmed that it is keen on settling cases within the legal framework and added that it never accepts any intervention in any security case. It also stressed the necessity of crosschecking information before hurling accusations against others.
