Driving licence - University Degree Holder a must

I am a Pakistani and have lived in Kuwait for the last eight years. My salary is KD 450 per month. I am a university graduate but not an engineer. On my Ezny Ammal (work permit) it has been written that I am a technician because I am a diploma holder. I want to apply for a driving licence but I don’t have any four-wheeler license from Pakistan. Can I apply for a driving licence in Kuwait?

Name withheld

Answer
: No, you can’t because you meet only two of the following three conditions which are a must to get a driving license:
1. Must earn at least KD 400 a month.
2. Must be a university degree holder.
3. Must have been in Kuwait for at least two years at the time of application.

You are not a degree holder, so you can’t apply for a driver’s licence.

home countrySrivi | 9/13/2011 12:59:05 PM Home country driving license is no way useful, for kuwait, except driver category. it is not important.
designationSrivi | 9/13/2011 12:57:32 PM Request company to change your designation in idnamel, as a exempted category like driver, mandoop, manager, engineer or accountant just for formality, then you can apply, next year while renewing your idnamel. Currently, not possible.
