Egyptian and Filipina Couple in drug trafficking Egyptian expat accuses Nepalese maid of stealing cash
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 11: An Egyptian expatriate filed a case against his Nepalese housemaid and accused her of stealing KD 350 from his room. He said the woman left the house after the theft. A case was registered against her.
Couple in drug trafficking: Securitymen arrested an Egyptian man and a Filipina for trafficking in drugs.
In a press statement Sunday, the Ministry of Interior revealed a team of securitymen from the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) raided the Egyptian’s apartment in Adailiya after receiving information on his illegal activities. They also found a Filipina inside the apartment, along with 250 grams of an undisclosed type of drugs and some cash. She tried to escape but the officers chased her.
The suspects were referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.
In another development, armed with warrant from the Public Prosecution, anti-narcotics men arrested a Pakistani expatriate working as mechanic at a garage in Al-Rai for trafficking in heroin.
The suspect led securitymen to a flat in Jabriya where 75 grams of heroin and drug-related equipment were recovered. He confessed to using and peddling in narcotics, and securitymen referred him to the concerned authority.
Fight over parking: A Kuwaiti citizen and an Egyptian exchanged blows over a parking space at a commercial complex in Salmiya.
Acting on information, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the scene, and the fighters were taken to the Salmiya police station. A case was registered.
Shop broken into: Owner of a commercial store at the industrial area of Jahra filed a case in Taima police station against a thief who broke into the shop and stole KD 400 from a safe. A case was registered for investigation.
Drugs with youth: A youth was apprehended by security operatives at a checkpoint near Bida’a Roundabout in possession of two narcotic pills.
The suspect was referred to the concerned authority for further investigation.
5 wanted nabbed: Three Lebanese nationals, a Syrian and a Jordanian were arrested at different locations inside the Hawalli governorate for their involvement in various criminal and civil cases.
They have since been referred to the relevant authority for necessary action.
