Police imposter flees with KD 2,500 rent money ‘Dead’ Indian was drunk

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 10:  The caretaker of a building in Kuwait City lodged a complaint against a man, who impersonated police, and allegedly robbed him of KD 2,500.
The complainant told police the suspect, who was clad in ‘disdasha’ (Arab traditional attire), entered his room and introduced himself as a security officer.  However, he was surprised when the man forcefully took KD 2,500 —  the rent money he collected from the tenants — from him and fled from the scene.  He provided police with a detailed description of the suspect to ease the search procedures.

‘Dead’ Indian was drunk:  Hawalli police arrested an Indian, 33, for consuming alcohol, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Police rushed to a place behind a commercial complex in Hawalli after being informed about a person lying ‘dead’ inside his vehicle. Police realized that the man passed out after consuming alcohol and referred him to authorities.

Maid robs sponsor: A Kuwaiti woman filed a case, accusing her Asian housemaid of escaping from her house after stealing her jewelry, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Police are investigating the case and are looking for the Asian woman.

65 illegals held: Ahmadi police arrested 65 expatriates of various nationalities for violating the residency law during a three-hour intense campaign in Wafra area, reports Al-Anba daily. A police source said some hawkers were among the violators.

Sheep farm looted: Police are looking for thieves who broke into the livestock pen of a Kuwaiti man and escaped with 25 sheep, electrical appliances and other stuff worth KD 3,000, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department lifted fingerprints from the scene to identify the culprits.
