Youths held for raping old woman say they did it for fun Taxi driver selling drugs
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 8: Four unidentified youths have been arrested by personnel from the Ahmadi Criminal Investigations Department for sexually assaulting an elderly woman at a market place, reports Al-Dar daily.
During interrogation the youths are said to have confessed to the charge. They also admitted to sexually assaulting unidentified people on six different occasions over the past few days.
According to security sources some of the victims refrained from filing complaints for fear of losing self-respect.
However, according to the youths they meant no harm to anyone and that they just wanted to have fun.
A case has been registered and the suspects have been referred to the Juvenile Prosecution.
Taxi driver selling drugs:Anti-drug department officials arrested a Pakistani taxi driver for trading in drugs. The expatriate was arrested at a coffee shop in Riggae area in possession of seven capsules containing 50 grams heroin. The Pakistani confessed that he consumes drugs as well as sells them. He was referred to authorities with the contraband for further action.
Drinks and love: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti couple for consuming alcohol, reports Al-Dar daily.
The ‘lovers’ were arrested in Kabd. They were reportedly caught red-handed drinking and making love inside a parked car during late evening.
According to security sources they were high on alcohol and police are said to have seized from them a bottle of whisky.
Porn-seller held: The Farwaniya police have arrested an Asian man for selling porno CDs, reports Al-Dar daily.
According to security sources an unidentified person tipped police that the man was selling CDs near cafes and grocery shops in Hassawi and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. Police set a trap for the man and caught him in possession of a large number of CDs.
During interrogation the suspect said he copied the material from some porno channels inside his home.
Securitymen, armed with a search and arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution raided his apartment and confiscated a large number of CDs and copying machines.
Woman robbed: Police are looking for an unidentified burglar who allegedly broke into the home of a Kuwaiti woman in Fintas and escaped with KD 30,000, reports Al-Rai daily.
It has been reported the thief was sure the woman was living alone and reportedly broke into the home when she was away. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
