Two Pakistanis held captive, tortured by gang

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 8: Personnel from the Jahra Criminal Investigation Department are looking for eight unidentified youths for holding two Pakistanis captive and torturing them, reports Al-Anba daily.
Sources say the Pakistanis were abducted by the gang while walking along a road in Jahra.
The daily added according to the complainant three men driving in a Japanese car got down from their vehicle and forced them into their car under threat.
The victims added when they resisted five other men riding in a four-wheel drive appeared on the scene and joined the trio.
Police have started investigations to know the relationship between the victims and suspects.
However, the victims were allegedly burned with cigarette butts and beaten with blunt objects.

Dad, brother blamed: In a strange incident, a Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Mubarak Al-Kabir police accusing her father and brother of obliging her to sign a document the contents of which she does not know, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The woman added the father put a pistol to her head and threatened to kill her if she refused to sign and the brother had an electric wire in his hand.
The father and the brother were summoned for interrogation and then referred to the Public Prosecution.

‘Escapee’ summoned: The Farwaniya Traffic Department has summoned an unidentified man for escaping from a police officer while a citation was being issued against him for driving in an emergency lane, reports Al-Anba daily.
A five-count charge has been leveled against the man — refusing to produce his driving license and car registration, violating a traffic law, offending the officer and escaping from the scene.
