Immigration officers caught helping 3 Bangladeshis flee

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 7: Two immigration employees working at the Kuwait International Airport have been referred to Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station for stealing the stamp of a passport officer and using it to facilitate the departure of three Bangladeshis, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The forgery was discovered shortly before the departure of the flight. The employees and the three Bangladeshis have been referred to the authorities.

Father stabbed
: Police are looking for a young Syrian man for stabbing his father, reports Al-Anba daily.
Acting on information paramedics rushed to a house in Sulaibiya and referred the father to the Intensive Care Unit of the Jahra Hospital.
According to hospital authorities the victim’s condition is critical.
The members of the family said the suspect lost his temper when the father shouted at him for coming home at a late hour and stabbed the man several times and escaped.

Gamblers nabbed: Police have arrested eight Asian gamblers who were involved in a fight inside an apartment in Khaitan, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
It has been reported the neighbors heard the men fighting and informed the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior.
It has been reported all the men were under the influence of alcohol. Police have seized from them some money, playing cards and referred them to the authorities.

Escape attempted
: The Director of the Central Prison, Major-General Khalid Al-Rayyis has ordered to open an investigation into an alleged attempted escape, reports Al-Anba daily.
A security source said security guards found a 20-meter-long rope with one end inside the prison and the other outside from over the prison wall.

Illegals nabbed
: During a two-hour surprise campaign against traffic law violators, the traffic police affiliated to the Capital governorate are said to have issued 88 traffic citations, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
A police source said such campaigns will continue in all areas of the governorate.
Meanwhile, the ‘special task squad’ has arrested 12 people in Hawalli and Farwaniya for violating residence laws, the daily added.
According to sources one man who has been arrested was living in the country illegally for the past 12 years.
