Dependent Visa for Grownup Daughter
My daughter came to Kuwait on a visit visa and her age is 25 years. Born and brought up in Kuwait, she went to India for higher studies. So we need to change her visit visa to dependent residence but my salary is KD 224/- and my wife’s KD627/-. We are both working in the government sector. Can we get a residence visa for her?
Name withheld
Answer: Yes, you can. When both husband and wife are working they can club their salaries to reach the required figure. With KD 250 the minimum salary required, the combined salary figure of you both is much above the required figure. In case you face any problem you should see the head of the Immigration Office in your area.
You must, however, remember that a visit visa can’t be changed to a dependent visa. You have to get a new visa, your daughter has to leave the country and return on the new document.
