Notice period after probabtion
Just like to ask what is the procedure for resignation because my wife wants to quit her job. She was a local hire but it’s been just 5 months from her last transfer and she wants to go back to her country of origin. She wants to cancel her residency. What is the right procedure? Does she still need to give a 3-month notice to the current employer?

Answer: Please remember that once you are out of the probation period (a maximum of 100 days), you have to give or be given a 3-month notice unless both the sides agree to do away with it. During the probation period neither sides needs to give a notice because both the sides are allowed to make a clean break if they so desire.
So, your wife should discuss the issue with her employers and if they do not agree to let her go immediately there will be no way out except to give a 3-month notice or pay an amount equal to the salary for the uncompleted portion of the notice period.
