KUWAIT CITY, Sept 4:  A Filipina filed a complaint at Jahra Police Station against an Egyptian man, who allegedly tried to molest her inside the elevator of a building in the area.
The complainant told police she got out of the elevator when the accused started harassing her.  She provided the officers with a detailed description of the Egyptian, who will be summoned for interrogation to verify the complaint.

Hoax rape call: Securitymen and medical emergency workers rushed to an undisclosed area in Jabriya after receiving a call from an unidentified person who said a girl has been kidnapped and raped.
However, when the rescuers reached the location, they discovered the call came from a prankster.  The security officers tried calling the suspect’s mobile phone but it was switched off.
A case was registered at Jabriya Police Station and investigations are in progress to identify the prank caller.  Security sources revealed this is not the first time that the Operations Room received such a call, adding a similar incident occurred a few days ago in the Capital Governorate.

Family feud … : Members of two families related to each other engaged in a fight in Waha, resulting in several stab wounds to one of them and minor injuries to three others.
Securitymen and paramedics were dispatched to the location after the Operations Room received a call from a neighbor who witnessed the fight.  The feuding parties reportedly used sharp objects in attacking each other, causing several stab wounds to one who was taken to Jahra Hospital.  Three others got minor injuries and the paramedics treated them on the spot.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to determine the actual circumstances leading to the fight.

Suicide bid foiled: A 26-year-old expatriate man tried to commit suicide by deliberately submerging himself into the sea in Souq Sharq.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after receiving information on the incident.  They referred the man to Amiri Hospital and investigations are going on to determine the circumstances which have prompted him to try to end his own life.
