Top Kuwait officer bags 18 months pay without going to work
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 29: The General Inspection and Control Department of the Interior Ministry has reportedly summoned a police officer — a Lieutenant Colonel — for receiving his monthly salary on a regular basis although he has been absent from work for 18 months, reports Al-Qabas daily knowledgeable security sources.
The sources added the officer was assigned to the Ahmadi area and is under the command of the former assistant undersecretary for General Security Affairs.
The sources say several officers are being interrogated to find out who are the officers who ‘covered’ the absence of the Lieutenant Colonel.
Women molested: Police are looking for two unidentified youths for molesting two young women, reports Al-Shahed daily.
In their complaint to the police the women said both the youths are in their 20s. They added they were riding in a car and the youths forced them to pull over. Then they allegedly walked over to their car and kissed and molested them.
One of the women managed to note down the car plate number and handed it over to the cops.
5 held begging: Securitymen from the Sharq Police Station have arrested five women after they were caught begging for alms in front of a commercial complex in the area, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Without going into details the daily said the women will be administratively deported from the country and barred from entering again.
