US citizen detained for abusing clinic worker
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 28: Police have arrested an unidentified US citizen for insulting an employee of the dentistry clinic affiliated to the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the American came to the clinic to see a doctor and when he was told during Ramadan the clinic opens at 11:00 pm, he allegedly verbally abused the female receptionist.
The receptionist informed the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry and the man was referred to the Jabriya Police Station.
3 women freed: Three young women who had been into custody by the State Security police for parking their cars near the old Mishref Palace have been released after interrogation, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports the women were arrested after an unidentified person informed the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior about the women near the Palace.
The daily added the women were taken to the Bayan Police Station and then handed over to the State Security Department where they claimed they had lost their way.
89 illegals caught: The Jahra police during an intensive campaign against violators of law are said to have arrested 89 expatriates for staying in the country illegally, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
During the campaign police are also said to have issued 110 traffic citations against reckless motorists and impounded 23 cars from the ‘stuntmen’.
