Youth stabbed in fight over girl; Cross-dressers held TV producer among two caught for drugs

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 27:  Anti-narcotic officers arrested two Kuwaitis, one of them is a TV producer, for the possession of half kilo of heroin in the Capital Governorate.
Acting on a tip-off, the officers put the suspect under surveillance. When the team gathered enough information to arrest him, they arranged an entrapment.  He was arrested, along with his accomplice (the TV producer), with the possession of half kilo of heroin.  The suspects were referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.

Man acquitted:
The Misdemeanor Court acquitted a Kuwaiti man of resisting arrest and possession of narcotic pills.
Case files indicate the Kuwaiti was arrested in Riqqa when a patrol officer noticed the erratic movement of his vehicle.  When the officer asked for his identification card, he presented only his employment ID which was used to check his security records.  However, the accused fled from the scene, prompting the officer to call for back up. The Kuwaiti later parked the car and took to his heels, sneaking into a building. The officers searched the car where they found the narcotic pills and referred the case to the Public Prosecution.

Fight over girl:
A 17-year old Kuwaiti suffered a stab wound on the left shoulder after engaging in a public brawl with other youths at a popular shopping mall along the Sixth Ring Road in South Surra.
Rescue officers at the Operations Room received a call that the youths were fighting over a girl, so the security officers and paramedics moved in quickly to deal with the situation. The officers pacified the feuding parties and restored peace in the mall. The injured is now confined at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital.

Cross-dressers held:
The Hawalli Support Patrol Team apprehended two cross-dressers in Salmiya with the possession of cosmetics pills.
The officers were patrolling in Salmiya when they noticed the suspicious behavior of two ‘women’, so they approached them for routine inspection.
However, the officers discovered the two were actually men clad in women’s clothes.  The cross-dressers were taken to a nearby police station for interrogation and other necessary legal action.
