Spoilt food seized - Big firm blamed
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23: Personnel from the Imported Food Department of the Kuwait Municipality recently launched a surprise inspection campaign and confiscated about 10 tons of expired foodstuffs — New Zealand meat, ice cream, tinned fruits and turkeys — from a Public Warehouse store belonging to the Sultan Center, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily did not give more details.
Meanwhile, the Director-General of Public Relations at the Kuwait Municipality Rashed Al-Hashan was recently quoted as saying the Municipality’s imported foods departments in all the six governorates recently launched several campaigns and confiscated tons of expired foodstuffs including candy bars and issued 98 citations to violators of Municipal laws, reports the Freedom Journal.
