KUWAIT CITY, Aug 22: Police have arrested an Egyptian man for allegedly ‘raping’ an Asian housemaid working for his brother, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
A police source said the suspect was arrested after the maid escaped from her employer and filed a complaint with the Farwaniya Police Station.
It has been reported the suspect took advantage of the situation because the sponsor and his wife are in Saudi Arabia to perform Umra.
The suspect allegedly had sex with the maid twice.

Heroin with inmates: During a surprise inspection campaign the Central Prison officials are said to have seized a number of cell phones and two grams of heroin from the inmates, reports Alam Alyawm daily. The inmates have been referred for interrogation.

Animal pen raided: Police are looking for unidentified persons for stealing 10 sheep from a livestock pen belonging to a Kuwaiti man, reports Alam Alyawm daily. The owner has filed a complaint with the Jahra Police Station.
In his complaint the man said the thieves entered the pen by breaking the door.

2 hurt in mishap: Two Kuwaitis were seriously injured following a traffic accident on the Fahaheel Expressway opposite the suburb of Al-Sha’ab Al-Bahari, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the victims were riding in a car and the man behind the wheel lost control of his car and crashed into a billboard. Acting on information paramedics rushed to the scene of the accident and gave first aid to the injured and then rushed them to a hospital.
