Kuwaiti held in liquor peddling
A Kuwaiti citizen has been arrested by Anti-narcotics officers and his accomplice is still at large for peddling in liquor.
According to an Interior Ministry press release, the officers acted on a tip-off security operatives received about activities of the suspect and a team of detectives was formed to track him down.
About 96 bottles of imported liquor packed inside a soap box was found as detectives raided his flat. Police are still trailing his accomplice who managed to escape from the flat during the operation.
Meanwhile, an Indian expatriate was apprehended by anti-narcotics men with 2,000 pills of intoxicants and 150 grams of heroin.
This follows information security operatives received about illicit activities the suspect engaged in. A team of undercover men was formed to arrest the suspect and an agent lured him into selling narcotic pills for an unspecified amount of money.
He was arrested upon delivery of the drug.
