Drug sleuths arrest Indian for trafficking, seize pills, heroin

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 20: A team of anti-narcotics officers arrested an Indian for trafficking in drugs with 2,000 narcotic pills and 150 grams of heroin in his possession.
Acting on a tip-off, the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) formed a team of officers who put the suspect under surveillance. After gathering enough evidence, the team obtained a search and arrest warrant from the Public Prosecution to raid the suspect’s apartment. The team discovered 2,000 narcotic pills and 150 grams of heroin from the apartment of the suspect, who was referred to the relevant security department for the necessary legal action.  
The officers carried out the raid in compliance with the instructions of Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs Major General Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah, who stressed the need to intensify efforts in curbing the spread of drugs in the country.

Iraqi’s attackers held: Police arrested four Kuwaitis, including two girls, for assaulting an Iraqi youth a week ago, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The Iraqi had filed a complaint at Salwa Police Station, saying four people assaulted him, tried to rape him and escaped with money in his possession.
Investigations conducted by securitymen led to the arrest of the four persons who said the Iraqi was having fun with them in an apartment in Salmiya until an argument broke out between them.

Shop broken into: Police are looking for an unidentified person who allegedly broke into a shop in Salmiya and escaped with foodstuffs and prepaid calling cards, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A police source said the thief used a duplicate key to enter the shop. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department lifted fingerprints from the scene to identify the culprit.
