Mandoub attacked with iron rod, robbed of KD 40,000 cash
KUWAIT CITY, August 19: An Arab man working as mandoub (representative) for a local company filed a case in the Capital police station and reported he was attacked and robbed of KD 40,000 by an unidentified person near an money exchange shop in Sharq, reports Al-Qabas daily.
In his complaint, the mandoub said he parked his car at a parking lot in Sharq and headed to an exchange center with the KD 40,000 cash. Suddenly, a man reportedly approached and hit on his head with an iron bar after which he lost consciousness. It was then the man had taken the money and escaped. A case was registered for investigation.
Jewellery, cash stolen: Securitymen from Jahra are looking for a thief who stole jewelry and KD 1,400 cash plus travel documents from a Kuwaiti citizen’s home in Saad Al-Abdullah area, reports Al-Anba daily.
A security source said the citizen went out with his family to visit a relative and was surprised when he returned home and discovered the safe had been broke open.
The man told police officers he checked the safe which was left at the living room and noticed that jewelry and the aforementioned cash, with his family’s travel documents were gone. Criminal Evidences Men lifted fingerprints from the scene to trail the thief and a case was registered.
Man assaults doctor: A doctor working in the Adan Hospital filed a case against a Kuwait man who assaulted him in public, while on duty. The doctor complained the incident took place right after he had finished a surgical operation on the citizen’s sister, reports Al-Shahid daily.
The doctor said the citizen came asking about the condition of his sister while he was still inside the theater. The doctor later told the citizen that the operation was successful but his sister needed to spend some time at the Intensive Care Unit. Suddenly, the citizen became mad and started assaulting him and also called him names. He said his fellow doctors and other visitors had to intervene to separate the citizen from him. A case was registered for investigation.
2 Asians held for liquor: Farwaniya securitymen arrested two Asians in Jleeb Shuyoukh for the possession of 30 bags of local brew, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The officers had acted on a report the Operations Room received that the two Asians have turned their apartment into a liquor factory, which they sold to Asian workers at a low cost. Securitymen raided the apartment, arrested the Asians, and seized 30 bags of liquor ready for sale, in addition to equipment for brewing liquor. The suspects were referred to Jleeb police station and a case was registered against them.
Roommate accused of theft: An Egyptian man filed a case in Khaitan police station and accused his room mate of stealing 1,000 Egyptian pounds and KD 33, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
In his complaint, the Egyptian said he returned to his apartment and discovered the money had been stolen, even though there was no sign of violence or a break in. The room mate was summoned by police for interrogation but he denied knowing anything about theft.
