Indians caught brewing liquor in Mahboula flat
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: Acting on information and armed with search and arrest warrant, securitymen raided an apartment in Mahboula and arrested three Indians for brewing liquor, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
During the raid, securitymen confiscated tools used in the trade and 25 bottles of local brew ready for sale.
The culprits with the contraband have since been referred to the concerned authority.
Thief nabbed: Police have arrested a Saudi Arabian national for perpetrating several thefts, following many complaints Ahmadi securitymen received about a thief in a 4-wheel-drive who robbed people by force, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Sources also said securitymen received another tip-off from a neighboring country reporting of a stolen cell phone that was being sold there and provided police with details of the seller. The thief was subsequently arrested in Kuwait and referred to the concerned authorities.
During investigations, securitymen discovered the man is wanted for 30 different crimes.
Absconders held: In a recent campaign, security operatives from Hawalli arrested 11 expatriates whose sponsors have filed absconding reports against them, says Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Also, securitymen arrested 11 other individuals, including 9 women and 2 men for begging inside the markets and commercial complexes in Hawalli area. The absconders and beggars have all been referred to the relevant authority.
