KUWAIT CITY, Aug 16:  An Indian man committed suicide in the house of his sponsor in Waha.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after the Operations Room received a call from the Indian’s sponsor, who saw him lying unconscious inside his room. His remains were referred to Forensics and investigations are in progress to determine the actual circumstances leading to his death. The authorities have yet to reveal the suicide method he used.
In another incident, a Sri Lankan housemaid tried to end her own life by cutting her left wrist in her sponsor’s house in Hawally. Her sponsor called police after seeing her bleeding profusely as she cut her left wrist. She was referred to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital and investigations are underway to determine the actual circumstances that prompted her to try to commit suicide.

Mother found: Police arrested an Asian woman who allegedly dumped a newly-born baby near a garbage bin in Sabah Al-Salem.
Security sources revealed the woman works as housemaid for a Kuwaiti family.
She told police that she had an affair with an Arab man and she bore a child out of wedlock, so she was forced to abandon the baby.  She admitted to leaving her baby near the garbage bin outside her sponsor’s house in Sabah Al-Salem.
The Arab man was also arrested and investigations are ongoing to verify the maid’s claims.

Youth hurt in fight: A youth was injured during a fight with another youth inside a coffee shop in Riqqae area.
Paramedics rushed to the scene with securitymen, following a report the Operations Room received in that regard, and the injured person was referred to a hospital for treatment.
