Police probe says thief among company staff KD 58,000 out of KD 66,000 recovered

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 14: Police are continuing investigations despite recovering KD 58,000 out of the total KD 66,000 stolen from the car of a company in Mahboula a few days ago, reports Al-Anba daily.
Police had received a call, saying the stolen money can be found in a garden in Farwaniya. Police rushed to the location and found KD 58,000 at the said spot.
A police source said 12 employees of the company are in police custody for questioning and it is believed that one of them is the thief who somehow contacted his other partners and made them return the money.

Hunt for thieves: Police are looking for a gang of thieves specialized in stealing Japanese-made cars, reports Al-Anba daily.
A police source said the thieves steal cars of models made before 2000, dismantle them and torch them in deserts in Ahmadi and Salmi. The source said the gang has committed 12 such crimes so far.

Call trader held:  Securitymen from the Capital governorate arrested four Asians in Bneid Al-Gar for offering illegal overseas call services, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Police raided the house of the Asians and confiscated communication devices and a computer from the illegal service providers and referred them to authorities.

Cars impounded:
Inspectors from Firdous branch of Kuwait Municipality, in cooperation with police, launched an intensive campaign in the area and impounded eight vehicles displayed for sale in open areas, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Traffic police also put wheel locks on many cars parked in no parking zones.
