Gang of male and female youths sought in Iraqi’s kidnap, torture
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 13: Police are looking for a group of male and female youngsters who allegedly kidnapped and assaulted a 22-year-old Iraqi youth, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A police source said the youth was traveling on a street in Maidan Hawalli when a group of youngsters crashed into his car, pulled him out and beat him up brutally. They then allegedly sprayed his face with a substance owing to which he lost consciousness. The group then bundled him in a car and took him to an apartment and continued torturing him. The group later dumped the youth beside his car and escaped.
The youth managed to call his family who rushed to the place and found him in a pool of blood. He was immediately rushed to hospital. A police source said revenge might be the motive behind the incident.
Car stolen, found: Police are looking for an unidentified person for stealing the car of a Bedoun in Sulaibiya area, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Bedoun lodged a complaint, saying he left his car in operational condition in front of a bakery and went inside to purchase bread when the thief drove away the car.
Police later found the stolen car in a very bad condition in a deserted area. The thief is believed to have used the car for performing stunts.
Sources say personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department lifted fingerprints from the vehicle to identify the thief.
