KUWAIT CITY, Aug 11: A traffic patrolman suffered multiple injuries and fractures when a young man hit him with his vehicle while trying to evade arrest for violating public security and traffic regulations.
While patrolling in Nuzha, a team of patrol officers affiliated to the Capital Security Directorate noticed a vehicle with tinted windows and forged plate number. They signaled for the driver, a young man, to stop but he fled, going towards Maghreb Motorway. When a traffic patrolman tried to stop him, he hit him with his vehicle, causing injuries and fractures to the officer.
The officers immediately distributed copies of a detailed description of the vehicle to arrest the suspect. They also obtained information from the shop that put the tinted windows on the young man’s car. The owner of the shop was summoned by the Bayan Police Station for questioning. He told the officers that he was forced to give in to the demand of the suspect, who claimed he is from a prominent family and he will create problems for him if he refuses to put tinted windows on his car.
The officers again combed Nuzha in search of the suspect and this time they succeeded in finding the vehicle but the tinted windows had been removed and the original plate number has been installed. The officers arrested the suspect who said he rented luxury cars under the names of his friends, put tinted windows, change the plate numbers and introduce himself as a prominent person in the country.

Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the scene after receiving a call from one of those who witnessed the fight. The injured was referred to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital and police are now looking for his assailant.
Citizen thrashed in traffic fight: Two young men were arrested for severely beating a citizen on Al-Fahaheel Highway.
During interrogation, the two claimed that the victim has been driving his car in a way that endangered them as they were driving near him. The beating took place near Sabah Al-Salem and was spotted by a police officer who rushed to the scene and arrested the youths.
Officer hurt with own gun: A police officer assigned at Taima Police Station narrowly escaped death when he accidentally fired his gun while cleaning it as he did not know it was loaded.
The officer got a leg injury and he was referred to Jahra Hospital. A number of senior security officers visited the injured policeman at the hospital.
Worker injured in fall: A Pakistani laborer sustained injuries and fractures in various parts of his body when he accidentally fell from the upper part of a wood shop in Amghara, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after receiving information on the incident. The injured was taken to Jahra Hospital.
Drunken expatriate nabbed: A drunken expatriate was referred to the Abu Halifa police station when the Operations Room received information that a man had been found unconscious inside a vehicle in front of a restaurant in Abu Halifa area and a rescue team was deployed to the scene to help him.
Sources said the man was taken into custody when paramedics conducted a check on him and discovered he.
Brigadier’s car stolen: A policeman with the rank of a brigadier filed a case against thieves who stole a vehicle he parked in front of his home in Rawda area.
Sources said the officer was surprised when he came out of the house and discovered the car was missing. A case was registered for investigation.
