Woman gets divorce from impotent husband He did not harm me, says girl

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: The Personal Status Section of the First Instance Court granted a wife the right to divorce her husband after medical reports proved he was impotent.
The wife had filed divorce on grounds that she is young and can not face the psychological trauma in being married to a man suffering from impotence.

Man acquitted: The Appeals Court upheld the verdict of the First Instance Court and refrained from punishing a citizen arrested for consuming Amphetamine.
The Public Prosecution charged the citizen for driving under the influence of drugs after he had been involved in a traffic accident, and securitymen smelt liqour from his mouth and referred him for examination, confirming he had taken Amphetamine.
However, attorney Faisal Al-Rasheedi argued that his client had not been arrested in possession of the aforementioned drug, besides the fact that his criminal page is clean, and urged the court must acquit him.

He did not harm me, says girl: The Court of Appeals acquitted an unidentified man of kidnapping a 16-year-old girl.
Case files indicate the accused allegedly abducted the girl from a market in Salmiya and took her to Kabad where she is said to have stayed with him for three days.  In her testimony, the girl disclosed the accused did not harm her and he took her to her friend’s house later.
The lawyer for the accused asked the court to acquit his client because the supposed victim did not say anything against him. He pointed out the results of investigations contradicted the statements of the victim.
The court then ruled in favor of the accused and declared him not guilty due to lack of incriminating evidence.
