Eve-teasers go bald; ‘Party-goer’ beaten up
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: Securitymen have arrested two police officers (a first lieutenant and a lieutenant) and a policeman for assaulting a Kuwaiti man and breaking his nose, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police source this happened during a party in the home of the Kuwaiti in Abu Al-Hassaniya. The victim allegedly became angry when the police officer molested his girlfriend and also began to dance with her.
An argument ensued which led to the fight. The man has filed a complaint and submitted a medical report showing fracture in the nose.
Eve-teasers go bald: Police have arrested eight young men for harassing and disturbing women and visitors to commercial complexes in Jahra, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to reports police shaved the young men bald and summoned their parents to write a pledge of good conduct on behalf of their children.
Daring theft foiled: Police are looking for three persons, including a Saudi, for attempting to break into the home of a Kuwaiti man in a suburb of Sa’ad Al-Abdullah, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
A police source said the thieves attempted to rob the house when the Kuwaiti went for Al-Fajr prayers in a nearby mosque.
The thieves reportedly parked their vehicle in front of the house and began loading it with the stolen goods.
To their bad luck they failed to keep track of time and the Kuwaiti called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior when he saw from a distance the men loading his household items in their vehicle.
Police rushed to the spot but failed to catch the thieves. They reportedly abandoned their vehicle and escaped on foot. Police have found the civil ID of the Saudi inside the vehicle.
Kuwaiti thief caught: The Salhiya police have arrested a 36-year-old Kuwaiti for attempting to break into a cell phones shop in downtown Kuwait City, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily said a police patrol on routine duty saw the thief trying to open the door and when he saw the cops he tried in vain to escape.
Police believe the man is a drug addict and the cops have found with him a sachet of heroin.
During interrogation the man is said to have committed eight crimes. He also told police the heroin was for his personal consumption.
He has been handed over to the General Department for Drug Control.
