Jordanian King arrives in Kuwait on Ramadan visit Amir holds Iftar banquet for visitor

KUWAIT, Aug 8, (KUNA): King Abdallah II of Jordan arrived in Kuwait Monday, on a visit aimed at congratulating His Highness the Amir on the holy month of Ramadan.
Receiving King Abdallah at Kuwait International Airport were HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Jasim Al-Khorafi, Deputy Chief of the National Guard, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and senior state officials.
The King is being accompanied by an official delegation including the Crown Prince of Jordan Hussein bin Abdallah II, Prince Faisal bin Al-Hussein, the King’s Adviser on Tribal Affairs, Sharif Fawaz Zaben Abdallah, the King’s Advisor on Media Affairs, Amjad Al-Adayla, Jordanian Foreign Minister Naser Joudet and senior Jordanian state officials. Later in the evening, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber held an iftar banquet on Monday in the honour of King Abdallah II and his accompanying delegation.
Meanwhile, Kuwaiti’s Ambassador in Jordan Hamad Al-Duaij Al-Sabah on Monday applauded King Abdallah II’s visit to Kuwait. “It has become a good annual habit of King Abdallah that takes place every Ramadan,” Hamad told KUNA. He lauded the great development of Kuwaiti-Jordanian relations and bilateral cooperation in all domains, under the leadership of both nations. Duaij noted that recent years have witnessed a significant growth in the number of Kuwaiti students studying in Jordan and tourists. Moreover, a considerable number of officials at all levels have exchanged visits, reflecting the distinguished ties between both countries, he said. The Kuwait diplomat also highlighted the growing Kuwaiti investments in Jordan, making Kuwait the biggest Arab investor in the country.
Meanwhile, there are about five thousands of Jordanian teachers working in Kuwaiti schools.
