Police hunt 7 persons for holding captive, raping Filipina for week

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 7: Police are looking for seven persons for allegedly successively raping an unidentified Filipino woman for a week, reports Al-Anba daily.
A police source according to a complaint filed by the Philippines Embassy with the Abu Halifah Police Station, the embassy has received a call from the victim saying she has been kidnapped by a roaming taxi driver and sold to a pimp for prostitution.
The source added the Filipina also called the police and gave the details of the taxi. However, when the police began investigations, they discovered the taxi was off the road for 23 days because the driver is suffering from a fracture in the foot.
The source added when police tried to identify the location of the kidnapped woman they discovered her cell phone has been switched off.

Guard ‘cleans’ up pen:
Police are looking for the guard of livestock pen for stealing the furniture, TV set, kitchen utensils and other stuff from the pen, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The pen belongs to a Kuwaiti man. A case has been registered at the area police station.

Ration items on sale: Acting on information the Farwaniya Munic-ipality rushed to an open ground in front of the Hassawi polyclinic and confiscated from the hawkers three tons of ration supplies including rice, sugar, milk powder, corn oil and lentils, reports Al-Rai daily.
