Indian housemaid drinks Clorox Kuwaiti detained in Syria released

KUWAIT CITY, Aug. 6:  Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Parliament, MP Mubarak Al-Khurainej says the Syrian authorities recently released a Kuwaiti citizen who was detained in Damascus for almost a week, reports Al-Shahed daily.
At a press conference, Al- Khurainej lauded the efforts of Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry and the country’s ambassador to Syria, as well as Syrian Ambassador to Kuwait to facilitate the citizen’s release. He is expected to return to Kuwait in the next few hours.

Maid drinks Clorox: An Indian housemaid was admitted to the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital after she mistakenly consumed a bleaching substance, reports Al-Anba daily. Sponsor of the woman said the maid drank Clorox by mistake.
And,  firemen put out a fire that engulfed a police vehicle parked beside a mosque in Fintas and prevented it from spreading, reports Al-Rai daily.
No casualties were recorded in the process. Apparently, the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit, the daily added.
