Securitymen arrest 9 women for begging at the start of Ramadan Three on visit face deportation
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 5: Personnel from the Ministry of Interior are continuing their efforts to track down people who beg for alms during the month of Ramadan, reports Al-Anba daily.
In a press statement the ministry said until now nine women have been arrested by the cops from Mahboula and Ahmadi. They include a citizen from an unidentified Arab Gulf state, four Arab women (three of them entered the country on visit visas) and 4 bedouns.
All the arrested women have been referred to the Criminal Investigation Department for legal action.
It has been reported the Ministry of Interior has taken measures to deport the four women but the bedouns are expected to be detained until their husbands come and sign a pledge.
Moreover, the bedouns will be referred to a central committee to resolve their issue.
