KUWAIT CITY, Aug 5: The Technical Committee of the National Guard has warned against the usage of a certain type of cell phone particularly when the concerned authorities meet to discuss secret issues, or when the person using this device enters weapons depots or any other sensitive locations, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting reliable sources.
The sources said the technical and information sector at the National Guard has confirmed it is possible for the user to convert such mobile secretly into a snoop system without anyone’s knowledge.
The sources added manufacturing company and intelligence agencies use such devices to listen and record what is happening during meetings and convey plans even if the mobile is in the ‘switched off’ mode, in addition, it can also take photos. Accordingly, the sector has demanded the ban on such devices inside meeting rooms or vital installation in the National Guard.
The sources indicated a circular will be soon issued to ban the use of such phones inside sensitive locations of the entire National Guard.
