Iranian found dead in his room Shepherd beaten, items stolen KUWAIT CITY, Aug 4: Criminal Evidences men referred the decomposed body of an Iranian expatriate who died inside a room at a flat in Omariya area to Forensics. This follows a report the Operations Room received about bad smell emanating from the victim’s room. Sources said securitymen arrived at the scene, broke the door open and found the decomposed body of the Iranian. Forensics is expected to determine the cause of death.
Shepherd beaten: A Kuwaiti lodged a complaint at Taima Police Station against three persons, who allegedly beat the shepherd and stole three mobile phones and a generator from his animal pen in Salmi. According to the complainant, the shepherd called him after the incident and he rushed to the animal pen where he found the former writhing in pain as the thieves took turns in beating him before carting away the mobile phones and a generator. The shepherd provided police with a detailed description of the suspects and fingerprints were also lifted from the animal pen. After some time, the officers received a complaint from another shepherd in the area. He gave similar descriptions of the three thieves, who allegedly beat him and took his mobile phone by force. The officers have stepped up efforts to find the suspects and take the necessary legal action against them.
B’deshi robbed: A Bangladeshi man filed a complaint with police against three persons, who stole his mobile phone and KD250 from his vehicle that was parked at an undisclosed location in the Capital Governorate recently. The complainant told police he saw the thieves ransacking his vehicle but they fled from the scene upon seeing him and destroyed his tyres to prevent him from chasing them. He provided police with a detailed description of the suspects and investigations are ongoing to arrest them.
5 hurt in fight: Five people were in-jured in a bloody fight among a group of 13 youths in Jleeb Sports Stadium. Based on a distress call the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received about the fight, a team of securitymen accompanied paramedics to the scene to maintain order, and the injured people were taken to the Farwaniya Hospital for medical attention.
Sources said the rest of the feuding party had fled the scene before the rescue team arrived. A case was registered for investigation.
Grocer attacked: Three thieves atta-cked an Asian caretaker of a mobile grocery along Abdalli Motorway at knife point and took money plus a mobile phone by force. Details of the suspects have since been dispatched to various checkpoints for their arrest after the Asian reported the issue to security operatives.
4 held at checkpoint: Two citizens, a Bedoun and a GCC national have been arrested at a checkpoint on Kabad Motorway for their involvement in various criminal and financial offenses. The suspects are said to have been apprehended late at night. They were referred to the relevant authority for necessary action.
