Money changer robbed in daring act

Daring robbery: Police are looking for an unidentified burglar who allegedly broke into the vehicle of an Iranian money changer and escaped with one million Saudi riyals, 150,000 Qatari riyals and UAE dirham 100,000, reports Al-Mustaqbal daily. According to the complainant the money was inside an envelope. He got inside his vehicle which was parked in front of his office, kept the envelope in the car and went back to the office to retrieve something which he had forgotten. When he returned to the car after a few minutes, he was shocked to find someone had broken the side glass of the car and escaped with the envelope containing the money.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.

Kuwaiti killed: A 19-year-old Kuwaiti studying in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) died in a traffic accident in Saudi Arabia, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The death occurred when he was on his way home to Kuwait with his 21-year-old friend. Without going into details the daily said the vehicle overturned killing him on the spot.

Appeal for help: A Kuw-aiti family has appealed to an unidentified senior official in the country for help to meet the medical expenses of their son who is receiving treatment in Germany, reports Al-Kuwaitiah daily.
The family said the father, Abdulaziz Al-Zeben, has no option but to be with his son and risks losing his job in Kuwait. The family added the son is suffering from a rare disease and it is believed one person in a million suffer from the disease. It is also said this is the first time the disease has affected a patient in Kuwait.

Betrayal of trust: A well-known Kuwaiti businessman has filed a complaint with the Sharq Police Station accusing his Egyptian business manager of betrayal of trust, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
According to the businessman the manager was in charge of collecting rent from his real estate business and has reportedly left the country with KD 55,000 rent money.The Kuwaiti Interpol has contacted their Egyptian counterpart to arrest the man.

Indian forger held: Police have arrested an Indian man for ‘forging’ Kuwaiti currency, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. According to reports the man was arrested in Salmiya after he allegedly paid a grocer with the KD 10 fake banknotes.
