KUWAIT CITY, Aug 1: A European woman filed a complaint with police against two unidentified men, who allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted her inside a flat in Riqqae. According to the woman, she was coming out of her flat in Salmiya, along with a female friend, when a vehicle suddenly stopped in front of them, and then two men got out and forced her into the car. Her friend immediately called police, who rushed to the location but the alleged kidnappers were no longer in sight. After three hours, the kidnapped woman returned to her flat in Salmiya and told the securitymen that her abductors took her to an apartment in Riqqae where they assaulted her sexually and later left her on the road, so she took a taxi to her flat. During interrogations, the woman provided police with a detailed description of her attackers and their vehicle. Police are now looking for the suspects.

Bedoun held: A Bedoun was arrested recently for the possession of seven bottles of local and imported alcohol. While patrolling along Al-Wafra Road, the security officers noticed the erratic movement of a vehicle, so they signaled for the driver to pull over. When the officers demanded for the identification documents of the Bedoun, they noticed that he looked agitated. This has prompted the officers to thoroughly check the vehicle, resulting in the discovery of the seven bottles of liquor. It has been reported the Bedoun has been convicted several times for his involvement in various cases.

Maid robs sponsor: A Kuwaiti woman filed a complaint at Sulaibikhat Police Station against her housemaid, who allegedly stole KD 900 cash and jewelry worth KD 360 from her house recently. According to the complainant, she got suspicious when the maid left without asking permission from her, so she checked her belongings and to her dismay she discovered the maid took some cash and jewelry. The security officers lifted fingerprints and investigations are ongoing to find the housemaid.

Two hurt in fight: Two citizens, in their 20s and 30s, suffered injuries in different parts of their bodies after engaging in a fistfight with four other men in Kabad recently. Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location immediately after the Operations Room received information on the fight. The rescuers took the injured to Farwaniya Hospital, while the security officers started looking for the other men involved in the fight as they escaped from the scene immediately after sensing police presence.

Kuwaiti duo in fight: A 24-year-old Kuwaiti got injuries in the head and other parts of his body after exchanging blows with a compatriot in Sharq. A team of police officers and medical emergency workers were dispatched to the location after the Operations Room received a call from a passerby who witnessed the fight. They referred the injured to a nearby hospital and the other citizen to a police station for questioning.
