Kuwaiti, 2 others caught helping bedoun flee on forged passport ‘Ramadan beggars’ to be deported, blacklisted

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 1: The Immigration Department has referred four people — a bedoun, a Kuwaiti and two employees working at the Kuwait International Airport — to the Public Prosecution, reports Al-Qabas daily. A police said the arrests followed the arrest of a bedoun while attempting to leave the Kuwait International Airport on forged French passport. The source added an air hostess suspected the bedoun because he was carrying a French passport but could neither speak nor understand French so she informed the captain of the plane. He was referred to the police and interrogations revealed the passport was sent to a Kuwaiti man from London and he received KD 1,000 from the bedoun. The two employees were also reportedly paid KD 1,400 at the airport to stamp ‘entry’ and ‘exit’ on the passport.
The reports submitted by the Criminal Investigation Department of Kuwait and the French Embassy here showed the passport was forged in a very professional manner.
The four men have been referred to the Public Prosecution.

‘No begging’: The Ministry of Interior has formed special teams to arrest beggars who take advantage of the holy month of Ramadan and beg for alms, reports Al-Shahed daily. A police source said expatriates who are caught begging will be deported from the country and name will be added to the list of people banned from entering the country.The sponsors will also be punished by not allowing them to apply for visit visas.

Take that!: Police have arrested an Arab man for molesting a 33-year-old American woman, reports Al-Anba daily. The suspect allegedly works for a home delivery restaurant in Fintas. The incident happened when he was delivering food to an unidentified customer in the same building where the incident took place. The man reportedly molested the woman inside the elevator. When he molested her she allegedly kicked him between the legs and screamed for help. The man took to his heels but the woman chased him and noted down his car plate number and informed the cops.In an attempt to escape the man also reportedly crashed into a lamppost and ended up in the Adan Hospital.

Gas does it!: Police are looking for an unidentified person for using gas to disperse 20 youths who were involved in a fight inside a well-known café in Salmiya, reports Alam Alyawm daily. According to security sources many patrons at the café temporarily lost consciousness and others began vomiting. The same sources said this café is normally visited by transvestites and cross-dressers.

My man, my lover: Police have referred an Ethiopian housemaid to the Psychiatric Hospital, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily added a Kuwaiti man, who lives in Firdous, hired the maid from a maid recruiting office a few days ago and when he discovered she was mentally unstable, he returned her to the office. However, the office refused to take her back and the Kuwaiti had no option but to take her to a police station in the area. The housemaid allegedly caught a police officer by the hand and started telling he is her husband. Then after some time she went and stood behind another officer and said ‘This is my lover’.

Livestock stolen: Police are looking for unidentified persons for breaking into a livestock pen in Kabad and stealing pigeons, ducks and chickens worth KD 500, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.

Run, but not hide: Police have arrested a Syrian man who was wanted by law in connection with 18 fraud cases and debt worth KD 185,000, reports Al-Anba daily. The suspect was arrested inside a café in Salmiya.

Shepherds robbed: Police are looking for a gang of juveniles for robbing Asian shepherds, reports Alam Alyawm daily. Police are said to have received several complaints from shepherds. One of them a Bangladeshi said some juveniles attacked him and escaped with KD 90 and his cell phone.
