Kuwaiti woman swindled Efficiency of traffic cops KUWAIT CITY, July 27: Traffic officers from Hawalli placed a wheel lock on an ambulance a team of Medical Emergency Personnel had parked along a pavement to avoid traffic jam, while they were inside a commercial complex to collect donations. According to a source, the team was surprised when they saw the wheel-lock and complained they couldn’t have attended to any emergency call due to the situation.
Woman swindled: A Kuwaiti woman in her mid-30s told police officers in Farwaniya about an Arab woman who cheated her of KD 4,000. Apparently, the suspect convinced the citizen to partner her in a saloon she was planning to open. However, the suspect disappeared after taking the money and her mobile has since been switched off. Also, the citizen said she tried in vain to trail her. Police have since collected details of the suspect and circulated to various checkpoints.
Trio stabs grocer: A 34-year-old Asian suffered from a stab wound on his shoulder when three unidentified persons attacked him and robbed his mobile grocery store along Wafra Motorway. Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the scene after receiving a call from a passerby who witnessed the incident. The wounded store owner was taken to Adan Hospital. Fingerprints were lifted from the store to identify the culprits and investigations have started to arrest them.
Teens hurt in fight: Two Kuwaiti teenagers sustained injuries in different parts of their bodies after engaging in a fistfight in Oyoun. A team of police officers and paramedics were dispatched to the location immediately after the Operations Room received information on the fight. The teenagers were admitted to Jahra Hospital. Investigations are ongoing to determine the actual circumstances leading to the fight.
Boat engines stolen: A Kuwaiti, in his 40s, filed a report at Sulaibikhat Police Station recently that his three boat engines were stolen from his garden in the area. According to the Kuwaiti, the estimated total value of the three boat engines is KD1,700. He provided police with the details of the stolen engines and investigations are in progress to arrest the thieves.
