Citizen dies after his motorbike somersaults, pillion rider injured 3 women among several hurt in accidents

KUWAIT CITY, July 21: Several traffic accidents were reported Thursday, resulting in the death of a Kuwaiti and injuries to other motorists. The Kuwaiti died on the spot when the motorbike he was riding somersaulted in Mubarak Al-Kabeer, while his companion - a compatriot - suffered serious injuries. Securitymen and medical emergency workers rushed to the location after the Operations Room at the Ministry of Interior received information on the incident. However, one of the Kuwaitis already succumbed to his wounds when the rescuers arrived at the scene. His remains were referred to Forensics and his companion was admitted to Adan Hospital.

In an unrelated incident, a Lebanese woman, in her 30s, suffered multiple injuries when a speeding vehicle hit her while she was crossing the road between Rehab and Ishbiliya. She was taken to Farwaniya Hospital.
A Kuwaiti woman, in her 30s, was injured when her vehicle collided with another on the Sixth Ring Road. She is now confined at Farwaniya Hospital. A 42-year-old Kuwaiti woman got injured when her car rammed into another on Ghazali Motorway. She was referred to Sabah Hospital. A two-vehicle collision on Fahaheel Motorway caused injuries to a Kuwaiti man, in his 40s. He was rushed to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital. Three Egyptians sustained injuries in different parts of their bodies when their vehicles collided on Kabad Motorway. They were taken to Farwaniya Hospital. An Asian man suffered multiple injuries when a vehicle knocked him down in Khaldiya. He is now confined at Amiri Hospital.

KUWAIT CITY: A heavy duty truck driver died on the spot on the King Fahd Expressway, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. According to eyewitness reports the victim lost control of the vehicle and mounted the footpath. Upon impact the victim was ejected from the vehicle and died on the spot. Traffic was blocked for some time. The remains of the victim have been referred to Forensics.
