17-year-old dies, seven people hurt in accidents KUWAIT CITY, July 18: A Kuwaiti citizen died and many others suffered injuries in traffic accidents recorded nationwide in the last 48 hours.
The 17-year-old citizen is said to have died after he lost control of his vehicle, swerving and crashed upside down along the Sixth Ring Road.
Acting on information, a team of securitymen accompanied paramedics to the scene to assist the victim. However, Criminal Evidences Men carried the body to Forensics when paramedics confirmed he had died. A case was registered for investigation.
Meanwhile, two Bedoun youths sustained various degrees of injuries in a two-car collision that happened on the Fourth Ring Road near the Amghara Bridge.
A rescue team arrived at the scene to carry the injured people to Al-Jahra Hospital for medical attention.
A citizen in his early 20s and a Sri Lankan national were injured in various parts of their bodies when their vehicles collided in South Surra.
Paramedics were on hand to carry the injured people to the Mubarak Hospital for treatment.
In another incident, a truck carrying a quantity of sand turned turtle in Jahra Industrial Area, resulting in severe injuries to the driver.
A team of rescuers was deployed to the scene when the Operations Room received a report about the accident, and the injured driver was referred for treatment.
Sources said the road was blocked to traffic for a while, but officers managed the situation accordingly and traffic was restored in no time.
Finally, two expatriates sustained severe injuries when two heavy duty trucks collided on the Seventh Ring Road.
Paramedics rushed to the scene and carried the injured men to the Adan Hospital after the Operations Room had been notified of the accident. A case was registered.
