Residence transfer after termination

I have completed two years with one company in Kuwait. But now the company has terminated my services and they have given me a release. Under the new rules, is my release valid? Can I transfer my residence to another company without any legal obligations? Can you give me a favourable advice as early as possible?

Answer: As we replied a similar question earlier, you should have no problems transferring your residence to another firm if you are terminated by your company.

The Arab Times invites questions on all aspects of Kuwaiti law. If you face a problem, or need specific advice on any legal matter, from commercial and investment law to divorce and labour, send questions to the Managing Editor, Arab Times, P.O. Box 2270, 13023 Safat, Kuwait, or Fax to 24818267.

shounSrivi | 7/18/2011 10:03:25 AM For project visa, normally, not allowed. But, as per decision of shoun manager to approve, and project completion letter or termination letter from company, the manager can approve. just try in shoun. project visa means 3 years or degree or company to agree transfer. try ur luck. possible. we cannot give any assurance, as per manager decision.
residence transfer after termination (gp visa)klieno fernandes | 7/17/2011 11:30:38 AM i too am currently facing the same problem. I've just completed 2 yrs in ma company and have been terminated, iam on a govt project visa 18. is it possible to transfer my visa? Please let me know
validSrivi | 7/17/2011 9:21:15 AM As company gave release and termination, on mutual agreement, then it is valid release. try new job and change to new company. once company agreed to release, then no other problems for release, after 1 year, as you finished 2 years. 3 months termination notice period is required or salary in lieu of notice period. thats all. It is legal and valid.
